We take a person-centered rather than need-centered approach, one that emphasizes relationship building and long term solutions as well as immediate concerns. For those in need, the clearinghouse provides a single point of entry to access Columbia's churches benevolence assistance.  For Columbia churches, it provides a coordinated response to those in need and a way to move from offering emergency relief to engaging in developmental programs that can bring lasting change.  Love INC encourages church volunteers to live out the message of "love your neighbor" by befriending and getting to know our neighbors in need.  As relationships form, all involved are enriched and deeper bonds of understanding and trust are forged in our community.
