In-Kind Needs

Love INC works with clients in a variety of situations. Some come to us in a crisis or transition, others are looking just for information and referral. Many get involved in our ongoing coaching and life skills programs. To provide in-kind support for clients in our programs, consider donating items from the following list:

 Personal Hygiene Products

Though every bottle of shampoo and roll of toliet paper is helpful, your church, civic group, or business can make a bigger difference by holding a personal hygiene drive.

To find out how you can run an efficient, fun drive, email

People often come to Love INC “without”…without money, without, a place to live, and without hope. “The personal hygiene products we give people is a stepping stone to hope,” explains Pat McMurry, Love INC Executive Director.

Thanks to Woodcrest’s Dollar Club, for more than 180 bottles of shampoo, 64 bottles of dishwashing detergent, 84 deodorant sticks, 100 bottles of body lotion, 240 bars of soap, 60 jugs of laundry detergent, 120 bottles of shampoo, and 384 rolls of toilet paper to Love INC. That’s a whole lot of clean for Love INC clients!

Your Old Car Has Miles Left to Give

Your old car served you well for years – how about one more memory before you part with her? When you donate your car to Love INC, someone will have a safer, easier way to get to work, to pick up their children from school, and get to church. You can deduct the appraised value of the car and we’ll provide a tax receipt and steer you to other forms you’ll need. Email for detailed information.

Rent, Sell, Donate Your House

Columbia’s five-year Consolidated Plan for increased facilities for homeless and near homeless have high priority says Randy Cole, Columbia’s Housing  Program Supervisor. Transitional housing is a proven model for moving  families  from homelessness to self-sufficiency and Love INC’s coaches prepare people for home ownership. Love INC oversees three Transitional Homes and would to make it four! If you have a home you to donate or could provide free, long-term rental space, contact Pat McMurry,
